Introduction to Trip Destinations:

Terra-Cotta Army

The Terracotta Army is a collection of terracotta sculptures depicting the armies of Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperor of China. It is a form of funerary art buried with the emperor in 210–209 BCE to protect the emperor in his afterlife. The figures, dating from approximately the late third century BCE, were discovered in 1974 by local farmers in Lintong County, outside Xi'an. The figures vary in height according to their roles, with the tallest being the generals. The figures include warriors, chariots, and horses. Estimates from 2007 were that the three pits containing the Terracotta Army held more than 8,000 soldiers, 130 chariots with 520 horses, and 150 cavalry horses, the majority of which remained buried in the pits near Qin Shi Huang's mausoleum. Other terracotta non-military figures were found in other pits, including officials, acrobats, strongmen, and musicians.

Lesser Wild Goose Pagoda

The Lesser Wild Goose Pagoda, located in Jianfu Temple of Anren Fang in the city of Chang 'an, is a beautiful pagoda, which is the architectural and artistic heritage of Buddhism in Tang Dynasty. And it is also an important symbol of Chang 'an of Tang Dynasty to this day. The Lesser Wild goose pagoda has a quiet environment. It has withstood the attack of wind and rain for more than 1200 years and the test of more than 70 earthquakes. Besides, it has experienced three times of separation in history. Every morning the temple would ring the bell regularly, which could be heard for dozens of miles. The bell is clear, the pagoda shadow is beautiful, in the ancient city has a unique charm. The Lesser Wild Goose Pagoda and its ancient bell, the Morning Bell of the Wild Goose Pagoda, have become one of the "eight sights of Guanzhong".

Huashan Mountain

Located about 1.5 hours from Xi'an, Huashan Mountain is considered to be one of the world's most dangerous places to hike. The mountain is considered to be one of China's five most famous mountains and is one of the most popular tourist attractions. The mountain has five main peaks — a North, South, East, West, and Center. The infamous plank walk is located on the mountain's highest peak, South, which has a height of 7,070 feet.

Mount Taibai

Mount Taibai is located to the southwest of Xi'an. The mount's highest point, Baxian Tower, rises to a height of 3,750 m (12,300 ft) and is the tallest in the Qinling Range. In 1965 Mount Taibai became a new nature reserve covering 56,325 hectares, with protection focus on its warm temperate zone ecosystem. Mount Taibai has warm temperate, temperate, cool temperate, and alpine climate. The flora and fauna of Taibai are quite diverse, with species from both northern and southern Chinese environments uniquely coexisting in the region. Within the nature reserve's borders, there are more than 1,700 different types of seed-bearing plants having been found, comprising approximately 60% of the flora in the Qinling Range. Many second- and third-tier protected Chinese species are found among the flora.
